Industrial EngineeringIndustrial engineers are often seen as facilitators of change. More than 30 lectures with experience similar to ergonomics, manufacturing system, sustainable manufacture, optimization, simulation, knowledge mining, logistics, provide chain, high quality administration and efficiency measurement make Industrial Engineering Division as the principle barometer of industrial engineering.

Our mission is to create information, promote innovation, and design systems improvements for the benefit of industry and government by: (1) crafting related curricula; (2) mentoring college students to be technically competent Industrial Engineers and life-long learners; and (three) conducting progressive researches geared towards nationwide and worldwide growth.

Undergraduates are working with division head Young-Jun Son within the UA Superior Integration of Manufacturing Systems and Technologies program on research initiatives for main manufacturers, homeland security, distributed energy networks, mining logistics, transportation and unmanned car coordination.

Modern industrial engineers usually use predetermined movement time system , laptop simulation (particularly discrete event simulation ), along with in depth mathematical instruments for modeling, akin to mathematical optimization and queueing principle , and computational strategies for system analysis, analysis, and optimization.

Graduates of Industrial Engineering are capable of pursue careers as production engineers, plant managers, supply chain managers and planners, operation analysts, product builders, high quality engineers, director of purchasing, course of improvement consultants, information system analysts, and so forth.
